Boosting Local Shopping Strips and Communities

The Victorian Government’s Neighbourhood Activity Centre Renewal Fund is delivering a boost for Jackson Court as part of the Building Works Program.

The Jackson Court Parklet project in the City of Manningham is receiving $100,000 to make a parklet which will include an arts component to enhance outdoor opportunities for locals. The on-ground works will create local jobs, while supporting local businesses, including retailers, cafes, restaurants, service providers and artists.

The Victorian Government is working in partnership with local government to provide this much needed support to local businesses and the community.

The $3 million Neighbourhood Activity Centre Renewal Fund is providing dozens of local suburban shopping strips with grants to stimulate business activity, support local jobs and improve both public amenity and confidence to accelerate post-coronavirus (COVID-19) recovery.

The Victorian Government is supporting businesses through the $534 million Business Support Package. This is in addition to $6 billion in economic relief invested since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
