Today Minister for Education James Merlino and Member for Eastern Metropolitan Region Sonja Terpstra visited Croydon Special Developmental School to see firsthand how the recent allocation of $11.75 million will be used to benefit students and teachers.
The funding announced in the Victorian Budget 2022/23 will see upgrades to the school’s administration building as well as their hydrotherapy facilities and their gym, providing both students and teachers with modern and up-to-date facilities.
The school which caters to students with moderate-severe intellectual disability has received funding in recent years to build an inclusive playground and outdoor learning space and refurbish relocatable buildings as part of the Victorian Government’s commitment to providing quality facilities and education for all students.
Croydon Special Developmental School is a select entry school that sees students come from across the state to have their educational needs met by specialist teachers and facilities.
These upgrades will provide upgrades to facilities that will change the lives of not only students here but their teachers and families as well.
