Great to have a cuppa with Gerry from the Heathmont Historical Society at the Food Coffee Friends Cafe in Heathmont this morning.
It was great hearing about the Society’s plans for their upcoming projects and I received a newly released edition of Busches Weir, telling the history of the weir that was a private weir on Dandenong Creek during the 1930s – late 1960s.
Gerry loved the tea towels with my art works for raffling off, our seniors booklets and our new edition of the Eastern Metro Bugle
. Hearing about all the investment in the #EMR
made Gerry very happy!
Finally, I got to have a look at the bollards that are now adorned with my artwork at the Heathmont shops. There are lots of other great works of art on those bollards too so next time you head down to the Heathmont shops make sure you take a look.
We had a lot to catch up on post COVID!
PS: amazing fruit cake at the cafe – grab some!
