Doncaster East locals will be able to enjoy one their community’s much-loved open spaces with the reopening of the newly revitalised Montgomery Reserve Park.
Today I officially re-opened the revitalised Montgomery Reserve Park as part of the Andrews Labor Government’s Suburban Parks Program.
Manningham City Council received a $60,000 grant to revitalise the Montgomery Reserve Park in Doncaster East. Upgrades include new play spaces and equipment to create a more user and family friendly space for young children and their families to enjoy.
The upgraded park also features a plaza area with a range of seating options, banquet picnic table and shelter for local residents and nearby workers.
The Montgomery Reserve Park Revitalisation is among more than 100 projects being delivered across Melbourne under the Labor Government’s $174 million Suburban Parks Program that is creating more than 6,500 hectares of new and upgraded parks and trails, dog parks and play spaces.
