$3.54 million upgrades to Warrandyte High School now open

Last week, Member for the North-Eastern Metropolitan Region, Sonja Terpstra, opened the modernised and upgraded arts and craft building at Warrandyte High School.

The Allan Labor Government provided $3.54 million to upgrade these creative spaces, as well as complete landscaping works at the school.

The Victorian Government is investing record funding in our schools to make Victoria the Education State. In the past 9 years, the Victorian Government has invested $14.9 billion in building new schools and more than 1,940 school upgrades.

This investment will ensure; every child can get a great education, our schools can cater for Victoria’s growing population, our government schools are better equipped to prepare students for the 21st century.

Modern learning environments help develop creative thinking, promote STEM literacy, and inspire learning for life – critical skills for future success.

New and modern school buildings contribute to school pride for students, parents and the wider community, building their engagement with education.

By reforming schools, the Victorian Government is transforming communities. By sharing sport, cultural and health facilities, schools are becoming neighbourhood hubs.

Quote attributable to Member for North-Eastern Metropolitan Region, Sonja Terpstra:

“It was great to see these upgrades finished, and how excited the students are to be able to express themselves creatively in the modernised spaces.”

“I’m looking forward to seeing some of the great creative works students at Warrandyte High will be producing in the years to come.”
